What You'll Do
As a Barista & Café Server, you will play an important role in creating the warm, welcoming, and high-quality experience our guests expect from L.A. Burdick Chocolates.
- Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable customer service.
- Learn and confidently communicate information about L.A. Burdick's chocolates, pastries, beverages, and other products.
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including our signature drinking chocolate, while consistently meeting quality standards.
- Prepare, display, package, and serve pastries according to company standards.
- Accurately and efficiently process customer orders and operate the cash register.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing café environment for guests and coworkers.
- Follow established standards for inventory management, product rotation, merchandising, and café presentation.
- Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and adherence to company dress and appearance standards.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety policies and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth café operations and an exceptional guest experience.

- Previous customer service, food service, café, hospitality, or retail experience preferred.

- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout a full shift.
- Use hands, wrists, and fingers to operate espresso equipment, cash registers, and other café equipment.
- Bend, squat, twist, and reach above shoulder level and below waist level as needed.
- Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
