Controller - On-site (5 days/week)

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, asset-based logistics organization operating a large national fleet to identify a Manager / Senior Accounting professional (Controller) to join their finance leadership team.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role reporting directly to the CFO, with broad ownership across accounting operations and strong exposure to fleet, fuel, and asset-heavy financial management in a rapidly scaling business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee core accounting functions (GL, AP, AR, payroll, financial reporting)
• Manage full lifecycle fleet and fixed asset accounting (acquisition, depreciation, disposal)
• Track and analyze operational costs, a key business driver
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis with leadership
• Drive process improvements and build scalable SOPs and reporting structure
• Partner with IT and operations on systems and process integrations
• Support compliance across legal, HR, insurance, and external partners
• Act as a key liaison with external accounting and advisory teams

What we’re looking for:

• Strong accounting background with controllership or senior-level experience
• Experience in trucking, logistics industries strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with fixed assets, fleet, or cost-heavy operations (fuel, equipment, etc.)
• Ability to operate in both strategic and execution-focused environments
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, growing company
