What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at The Bolton Group?
I’m partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to find a Controller to lead the accounting function and support a complex, high-volume operation.
Relocation will be provided
This role sits at the center of the finance team and will oversee the general ledger, financial close process, internal controls, and financial reporting, while also mentoring accounting staff and partnering with leadership on financial insights and process improvements.
What this role will focus on:
• Leading the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Ensuring accurate financial statements and GAAP compliance
• Managing GL activities, reconciliations, accruals, and fixed assets
• Strengthening internal controls and accounting processes
• Supervising and developing accounting staff
• Partnering with leadership on financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Supporting ERP system improvements and operational efficiencies
What they’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
• 4 years of progressive accounting experience
• Manufacturing experience required
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
• Leadership experience or desire to manage and develop a team
• Experience with intercompany transaction accounting

Salary : $130,000 - $185,000
