Overview
The Accounting Supervisor will lead our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations and a small team. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, deep accounting knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Supervise and mentor a team of AP/AR professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations to support accuracy and efficiency
✔️ Oversee daily AP and billing activities, and manage month end, journal entries and account reconciliations
✔️ Manage invoicing cycles, ensuring timely billing and optimized cash flow
✔️ Prepare journal entries, financial statements, and comprehensive financial reports, including aging schedules and KPI analyses
✔️ Partner with cross-functional teams on new project implementations, process enhancements, and expansion initiatives.
✔️ Ensure accurate, compliant sales tax reporting and filings across multiple states
✔️ Support internal and external audits, uphold strong internal controls, and champion continuous improvement efforts.
Education & Experience
💡 Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline OR equivalent experience
💡 Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive AP and AR experience
💡 2–3 years of leadership experience
💡 Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, and transactional workflows
💡 Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
💡 Experience with ERP systems
💡 Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
💡 Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Skills
➕ Background in manufacturing, rental, or fleet-management environments
➕ Strong adaptability and comfort with learning new technologies and integrated systems
➕ Hands-on experience with multi-state sales tax reporting and filings
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
