Overview
The Accounting Supervisor will lead our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations and a small team. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, deep accounting knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
βοΈ Supervise and mentor a team of AP/AR professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations to support accuracy and efficiency
βοΈ Oversee daily AP and billing activities, and manage month end, journal entries and account reconciliations
βοΈ Manage invoicing cycles, ensuring timely billing and optimized cash flow
βοΈ Prepare journal entries, financial statements, and comprehensive financial reports, including aging schedules and KPI analyses
βοΈ Partner with cross-functional teams on new project implementations, process enhancements, and expansion initiatives.
βοΈ Ensure accurate, compliant sales tax reporting and filings across multiple states
βοΈ Support internal and external audits, uphold strong internal controls, and champion continuous improvement efforts.
Education & Experience
π‘ Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline OR equivalent experience
π‘ Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive AP and AR experience
π‘ 2β3 years of leadership experience
π‘ Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, and transactional workflows
π‘ Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
π‘ Experience with ERP systems
π‘ Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
π‘ Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Skills
β Background in manufacturing, rental, or fleet-management environments
β Strong adaptability and comfort with learning new technologies and integrated systems
β Hands-on experience with multi-state sales tax reporting and filings
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
