What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser/Food Runner position at The Blue Ox?
We are currently seeking motivated, energetic employees to join our dynamic team. The right candidate must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a high volume, full service restaurant. Applicants must possess a strong, positive attitude, and ability to work on their feet for long periods of time. Busser applicants with experience, great work ethic, a sense of urgency and an ability to multi-task will be considered first! There is also room for hybrid job opportunities including Bar Back and Expo shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Back-serving tables, clearing, resetting tables, running food and assisting with private/special events
- Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude.
- Prepares room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
- Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
- Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining process.
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
