Position Overview
The CDL Bus Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up blood mobiles at various blood drives.
Essential Functions
- Bloodmobile deliveries and pick-ups
- Must be able to work a variable PRN schedule for bloodmobile deliveries and pick-ups from our depot location to various blood drives
- Understands and supports the quality goals of the company
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
- Courier duties as assigned
- Deliveries of extra supplies to drives that need additional items
- Other duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License and valid CDL Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
- One year job related experience is preferred
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of the buses used by The Blood Connection
- Excellent customer services skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to follow SOP in a heavily FDA regulated environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors and co-workers
- Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers
