The Block Hotel is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our hotel comfortable, clean, safe, and in great working condition for our guests and team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with maintenance experience who is looking for a more relaxed work environment, enjoys staying active, and takes pride in a job well done. Hotel maintenance experience is preferred, but we’re happy to consider someone with a strong general maintenance background and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep throughout the hotel.
- Handle basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and general repair tasks as needed.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure everything is in good working order.
- Respond to maintenance requests from hotel staff and address issues promptly.
- Assist with minor repairs, furniture adjustments, and upkeep of hotel grounds and facilities.
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests.
- Communicate with the management team regarding repairs, supplies, and maintenance concerns.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
- General maintenance, handyman, or building repair experience is a plus.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with guests and coworkers.
- Good problem-solving skills and pride in doing quality work.
- Able to perform routine physical tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and using basic tools.
