Account Executive - Pharmaceutical/Healthcare Advertising
Location: New York, NY
Salary: $55K-70K
*Hybrid*: 2-days on-site
The role:
The Account Executive is responsible for maintaining relationships between the client and the Agency for specified accounts. Has frequent contact with the client. Under the direction of their supervisor, draft tactical plans and work with both client and Agency personnel to reach marketing objectives.
Responsibilities:
Internal job responsibilities include:
Ensure successful startup, conduct, and completion of all account tactics
Follow through on all product tactical materials and plans (internally and with the client)
Interact with all members of the agency product team to ensure accurate information exchange and smooth and timely completion of projects
Daily tracking of all product jobs to coordinate the efficient flow of jobs throughout the agency
Develop, establish, and maintain project budgets, work plans/schedules, and deadlines for the agency product team
Open jobs and work with supervisor to complete creative work authorization forms (i.e., Creative Brief, Job Initiation Form) with thorough information from both agency and client
Review estimates, work with project management approve all invoices for all product jobs, and circulate to clients for appropriate approvals
Track budgets regularly, and ensure accurate monthly billing and product finances
Participate in creative meetings and evaluate creative work prior to client submission
Prepare status reports and contact reports for internal and client distribution
Identify new tactical opportunities
Develop product knowledge base (includes an understanding of product indications, clinical, market research, marketing plans, competitive knowledge, and sales training binder)
Work with supervisor to write strategic documents to service product needs
Meet with outside vendors (such as sales reps from key publications, marketing services/organizations, and premium vendors) for idea generation
Support new business pitches
Ensure adherence to internal agency policies and procedures
Client-related responsibilities include:
Maintain day-to-day contact with core product team members to ensure proper information flow from client to agency/agency to client
Develop relationships with client departments (i.e., regulatory, production, editorial)
Attend client meetings and client primary review/review committee meetings as needed
Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Computer literate
- Prior background in pharmaceutical or other advertising as a senior traffic coordinator, an assistant account executive, or an account executive
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
