Most drivers complete the route in 2–3 hours per delivery day, making it ideal for people with another job, retirees, gig workers, or anyone looking for extra weekly income.
This position is an Independent Contractor (1099) role, not a W-2 employee position.
Route Details
Delivery Area: Sylvania, Ohio
Delivery Days:
- Thursday: approximately 60 newspapers (finish by 6:00 AM)
- Saturday/Sunday TMC
- Sunday: approximately 80 newspapers (finish by 7:30 AM)
Estimated Time:
- Approximately 2–3 hours per delivery day
Pickup Location:
- Newspapers are picked up from the distribution center in Northwood, Ohio
There is also potential to grow the route and increase earnings over time.
Responsibilities
- Deliver newspapers to residential customers
- Most deliveries are placed in delivery tubes
- Some porch or garage door deliveries
- Apartment deliveries may require entering buildings and climbing stairs
- Load and transport newspapers using your personal vehicle
- Follow delivery instructions and complete deliveries accurately and on time
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle
- Current auto insurance
- Ability to work independently
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Ability to walk routes, carry newspapers, and climb stairs when delivering inside apartment buildings
Contractor Information
This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
Contractors are responsible for:
- Their own taxes
- Fuel and vehicle expenses
- Auto insurance
Contractors must also arrange coverage for their route if unavailable on delivery days.
