The Toledo Blade is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Independent Contractor to service an established newspaper delivery route in the Curtice, Williston, and Genoa area. This is a great opportunity to earn consistent supplemental income while working independently during the early morning hours.
In addition to residential newspaper delivery, you'll also service retail store locations in Curtice and Genoa, including delivering newspapers and collecting store payments.
What You'll Do
- Deliver newspapers to residential customers
- Deliver newspapers to retail store locations in Curtice and Genoa
- Collect newspaper sales payments from assigned stores
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Maintain accurate collections and dependable service
Current route volume:
- Thursday: 43 residential deliveries plus retail store stops
- Sunday: 49 residential deliveries plus retail store stops
- Approx 45 miles per delivery day
Schedule
- Pickup Time: Between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM
- Suggested Delivery Deadline:
- Thursday: 6:00 AM
- Sunday: 7:30 AM
Pay
- Approximately $150–$200 per week
- Paid as a 1099 Independent Contractor
- Consistent weekly income

Requirements
✔ Valid Driver's License
✔ Current Proof of Automobile Insurance
✔ Reliable Vehicle
✔ Ability to safely and efficiently complete the route during overnight and early morning hours
✔ Dependable and self-motivated
✔ Comfortable working independently
✔ Must be able to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor
You must be able to drive in all weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Living in or near the Curtice, Williston, or Genoa delivery area is a huge plus—but not required.
- Familiarity with the local roads and neighborhoods is highly recommended and will help make deliveries more efficient.
