What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Dishwasher position at The Black Twig?
Seeking a dishwasher to join our team! Seeking part-time or full-time availability. Teamwork skills are required. Maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization is a must. Good vibes only!
Essential Roles:
- Complete opening cleaning schedule of restaurant dinning and kitchen/dish area.
- Ensure all dishes , cutlery, and glasses are properly sanitized before further use.
- Keep inventory of all cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Keep a clean and sanitary work station, including all cooking equipment, tables, shelves and refrigeration equipment.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, making sure everything is clean and in proper working order.
- Follow opening and closing checklists to ensure that the kitchen is closed safely and properly.
- Bathroom sanitation and light cleaning as assigned.
- Maintain a positive and professional rapport with all co-workers and guests in the restaurant.
Qualifications
- 1 year cleaning or dishwashing experience is a plus, not a necessity.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all personnel.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs regularly, as well as bend, stoop and reach, as well as remain standing for as many as 8 hours.
- Maintain personal hygiene standards in accordance with Virginia State Health Standards for Food Service Employees.
