Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook to join our weekend team at The Birch at Sutherland. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by preparing delicious and nutritious meals that cater to their individual dietary needs. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menu and recipes, ensuring a high level of quality and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and other kitchen staff to achieve goals and objectives
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of food preparation, production, and service
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to increase satisfaction and loyalty
- Maintain accurate records of food preparation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 0 years of experience in food service or culinary arts, with weekend work experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and inventory (up to 50 lbs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
