Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Server/Cashier to join our vibrant food service team. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm, ensuring accuracy and promptness
- Operate POS systems such as Toast POS to process sales efficiently and securely
- Handle cash transactions, give correct change, and manage credit card payments with precision
- Assist in food preparation, including basic cooking tasks and assembling menu items according to standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, counters, kitchen stations, and food handling areas
- Support food industry best practices by adhering to safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction
- Clear tables, bus tables as needed, and ensure a welcoming environment for all guests
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining quality service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, quick service & fast food restaurants, or retail food environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, grocery store math, and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous but not mandatory
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
