Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change while maintaining cash handling accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices
- Engage with customers through friendly conversation, providing excellent customer service and addressing their needs promptly
- Follow food safety guidelines during food preparation and beverage service to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly without compromising quality or safety
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in retail sales transactions, cashiering, or cash handling enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math tasks
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to food safety, food handling, and beverage preparation is a plus
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
