Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Support meal preparation and food handling activities to ensure timely service and high-quality presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including proper storage of food items and utensils
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold health standards and prevent contamination
- Support catering events and special functions by preparing dishes and serving guests with professionalism
- Help with general kitchen tasks such as dishwashing, cleaning, and restocking supplies to keep the workspace efficient and safe
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices is highly valued
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience can be an asset for understanding special dietary needs
