Job Description
Best Ford is actively seeking a highly skilled Transmission Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing automatic and manual transmissions across a variety of makes and models, with a focus on Ford vehicles. This role is vital in maintaining the high level of service our customers expect and trust.
Job Type & Schedule
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Requirements:
Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts
Ability to Commute: Nashua, NH (Required)
Work Location: In person
Responsibilities
Diagnose transmission issues accurately using diagnostic tools and test drives
Disassemble, inspect, repair, or replace defective transmission parts and systems
Perform transmission services including fluid changes, flushes, filter replacements, and reseals
Road test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation
Communicate with service advisors and other technicians about recommended repairs
Keep a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety procedures
Stay current with Ford training programs and technical bulletins
Qualifications
2 years of experience in transmission diagnostics and repair
Ford certification or manufacturer-specific training is preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic tools
Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Must pass background check and drug screening
