Job description
The Berkshire Country Club is looking to add to our amazing team of hospitality professionals. We are a private member owned Country Club, located just outside of Reading, that offers multiple recreational activities, dining experiences and Club events.
We are currently hiring LIfeguards to work at our pool for the summer.
The expected start date for availability will be Memorial Day 2026.
What the Lifeguard will be doing.
- Reports all concerns, emergencies, hazards or faulty equipment to the General Manager.
- Communicate and enforce pool rules and policies.
- Maintain constant surveillance of pool patrons to identify and prevent unsafe conditions, behaviors, or actions.
- Enforce all pool rules, policies, and safety standards in a professional and courteous manner.
- Respond immediately and effectively to emergencies, including water rescues and first aid situations.
- Administer first aid and CPR as required, following established safety protocols.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all members and guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck, locker rooms, and storage areas.
- Assist with opening and closing pool procedures in accordance with Club standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with members, guests, and staff.
What we require.
- High School Diploma or equivalent .
- Previous lifeguarding experience.
- CPR certified
- Lifeguard certification
- PA Child abuse clearance
- Background check
- Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
- Strong swimming abilities.
- Knowledge of proper swimming techniques and water safety rules.

The Lifeguarding position is a seasonal hourly position.
