Project Controls Specialist IV

Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $84.00/hour
• Location: Sabine Pass, TX
• Assignment Duration: 18 months
• Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field is required
• 10 years of related experience in the Oil and Gas Construction industry in Project Controls
• Experience with working Large Capital Projects
• Advanced level proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning and Project Controls
• Skills to negotiate and broker successful solutions between Internal Coordination parties. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to create a strong team environment. Strong communication skills
• Adaptability to changing priorities
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to prioritize work activities accordingly
• Ability to work under pressure in an environment which expects the highest levels of customer services, confidentiality, and ethical behavior
• Self-starter with ability to work strategically under little direction
• Ability to focus on meeting/exceeding performance parameters. Strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a TWIC card in good standing
• Current and valid driver's license

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project budgets and cost baselines. Monitor actual costs vs planned costs
• Forecast estimate to completion (EAC)
• Track commitments, Invoices and accruals
• Identify cost overruns and savings opportunities
• Track physical progress of Engineering, procurement and construction
• Earned value management and reporting (EVM)
• Prepare and manage KPI dashboards for management
• Weekly/monthly progress reports
• Variance analysis (schedule and cost)
• Evaluate impact of scope changes on cost and schedule. Maintain change logs and approvals. Assess claims and variations. Update baseline when approved
• Identify project risks: commercial and schedule. Maintain risk register
• Quantitative risk analysis
• Develop mitigation plans
• Contract and Commercial support
• Support procurement and contract strategy
• Monitor project/contractor commercial performance
• Evaluate contractor claims
• Payment milestone verification
