Opportunity Snapshot:
- Compensation: $50-65/hour DOE
- Location: League City, TX
- Assignment Duration: 12 months
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours

Qualifications:
- 2 year associates degree in Design/Drafting or related 4 year degree preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD Plant3D
- 10 years working in the industry
- 5 years working specifically as a piping designer
- Ability to read, understand, and utilize process drawings
- Knowledge of industry standards (ISA, ASME, NEC, PIP, etc.)
- Experience with modular units (skids) design
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements as they affect refineries
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member
Responsibilities:
- Utilize AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Navisworks to support engineers and fabrication shops by preparing layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams
- Model piping according to P&IDs, piping specifications, and best practices
- Develop and design modular piping systems given basic information such as P&IDs, piping specification, and equipment drawings
- Emphasize minimal field work and ease of access with design
- Prepare material take-offs from piping drawings
- Recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly
- Review vendor drawings and models to ensure they match intended design
- Develop, review, and issue 2D Drawings such as orthographics (plans/elevations), and isometrics
