Required Skills
- Extensive experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix), RTUs, and HMIs
- Proficiency in PLC programming using Studio 5000 (Ladder, Function Block, Structured Text)
- Strong diagnostic skills in instrumentation, loop tuning, and troubleshooting automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control narratives
- Experience supporting automation across well pads, batteries, and compressor stations
- Familiarity with SAP or other CMMS tools for maintenance tracking
- Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and analog/discrete I/O
- Experience with FactoryTalk View HMI development
- Knowledge of Control Systems Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
- Certifications in automation or instrumentation
- Associate degree in Instrumentation, Automation, or related field OR GED with equivalent experience
- 3 years as an Automation Specialist
- 3 years of oil & gas operations experience
- Ability to work independently and travel to remote field locations
- Capable of operating aerial lifts and working in confined spaces
- Ability to work safely around energized systems, following OSHA, NEC, NFPA, and company safety protocols
