What You’ll Do:
- Install, align, and commission stationary industrial machinery, including gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, and pumps, in accordance with layout plans using hand and power tools.
- Inspect equipment for irregularities, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs or replacements of defective parts.
- Operate machine tools for fabrication during overhauls, maintenance, or set-up processes.
- Ensure safety devices are fully functional after repairs and modifications, maintaining the highest safety standards.
- Participate in preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance.
- Keep detailed and accurate documentation of maintenance and repair activities.
- Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally compliant work area.
- Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to execute additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs, safety procedures, and technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Basic computer skills—including MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly under stressful conditions.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs., transport loads up to 75 lbs., and work at heights and in various postures.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, and pumps.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of power generation equipment.
- Familiarity with safety standards relevant to industrial environments.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in mechanical maintenance are a plus.
- Extensive industrial maintenance experience, specifically with gas turbines and pumps.
Other Requirements:
- Candidates must be based in Alaska or the Pacific Northwest.
- Willingness to work a 14-day on/14-day off rotation, with 12-hour shifts.
- Must wear all required safety equipment and be capable of handling emergency breathing apparatus.
- Ability to work outdoors in temperature extremes and across rugged terrain.
- Must pass background checks and any additional safety and drug screening as required.
