What You Will Do
- Oversee and calibrate various measurement systems including tanks, tank cars, and equipment.
- Participate in calibration activities such as tank gauging, gas and liquid measurement, and meter proving.
- Apply temperature and pressure corrections for volumetric measurements and maintain control charts using foundational statistical concepts.
- Install, maintain, and calibrate measurement and radio communication equipment to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide insights for operability and maintainability within the Instruments & Controls discipline.
- Support measurement standards including orifice, ultrasonic, turbine, and Coriolis technologies, adhering to AGA standards.
- Troubleshoot and test RTU equipment, transmitters, and flow meters in the field.
- Conduct hydrocarbon sampling for analysis and monitor equipment diagnostics.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of measurement systems and calibration procedures.
- Experience with tank gauging, gas/liquid measurement, and meter proving techniques.
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain RTU and communication equipment.
- Knowledge of orifice, ultrasonic, turbine, Coriolis measurement, and AGA standards.
- Familiarity with radio communications and hydrocarbon sampling.
- Basic understanding of statistics as it relates to control charting.
- Demonstrated safety consciousness and adherence to environmental standards.
- Experience with Fisher ROCs, ABB gas measurement systems, and WinCCU software.
- Prior work installing and maintaining advanced measurement equipment.
- Experience with calibration and diagnostics of transmitters.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience in measurement, calibration, or instrumentation.
- Technical training or certifications related to measurement systems are advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites as needed.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including on-call rotations.
- Willingness to maintain a high safety and environmental compliance record.
