What You’ll Do
- Monitor automation systems remotely from the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) in Midland.
- Troubleshoot PLC and instrumentation issues in live facility environments.
- Collaborate with field operations, engineering, and IOC teams to resolve system anomalies.
- Support commissioning and startup activities, ensuring efficient and safe production.
- Serve as the primary automation interface, facilitating effective communication and problem resolution between various operational teams.
- Proven experience in oil & gas automation systems.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting skills within live production facilities.
- In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and process control.
- Experience with commissioning and startup of automation systems.
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley controllers and FactoryTalk software.
- Ability to work independently in the field and remote environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Prior experience with similar production facilities outside of oil & gas.
- Additional automation or control system certifications.
- Experience with other automation platforms or software.
- Technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems, or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on automation experience, preferably within oil & gas or similar industries.
- Availability to work on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule.
- Willingness to be based in Midland, TX, and perform field work when necessary.
- Professional certification in automation or control systems is a plus.
