The Deposit Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the Bank. This position works in a team environment that provides direct support to bank operations through transaction maintenance and balancing while providing excellent service to the organization and the customer while meeting all regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties
- Process daily deposit transactions including ACH, wire transfers, check clearing, and account adjustments
- Data Entry Mail Collection
- Bank transactions and account maintenance
- Electronic banking and Mobile Deposit entry/review
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations including Reg CC, Reg D, BSA/AML, and other applicable laws
- Maintain accurate records of deposit activity and prepare reports for internal and external audits
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve operational issues and support customer inquiries
- Identify and escalate suspicious activity in accordance with BSA/AML protocols
- Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls to ensure operational integrity
- Support new product rollouts and system upgrades related to deposit services
- Stay current with regulatory changes and participate in compliance training
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
- Participation in ongoing compliance and security training
- Understanding of and commitment to ethical banking practices
- General understanding of banking transactions.
- High school degree or GED required
- Experience with Microsoft Office 10-key machine and typing skills
- Basic analytical and mathematical skills Strong attention to detail
- Must be attentive to detail
- Capable of managing multiple responsibilities and strict deadlines
- Use critical thinking skill to identify and resolve problems independently
- Utilize time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations
- Provide outstanding internal and external customer service
- Maintain a positive attitude
