The Behavior Place is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Paraprofessional to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our clinic by assisting the supervising teacher, clinical team, and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). You will help create a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment while providing meaningful support to children with special needs throughout the day.

This position includes assisting with classroom activities, administrative tasks, structured lunchtime routines, client supervision, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment. Essential Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the supervising teacher and clinical team to support daily clinic activities and programming.
• Assist Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) with administrative tasks, including documentation, paperwork, and reports.
• Provide staff coverage throughout the day, including assisting with employee breaks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients to encourage participation, understanding, and engagement during daily activities.
• Supervise small groups of clients (1–5) during scheduled lunch periods.
• Prepare and assist clients with lunch as needed.
• Lead and support structured lunchtime routines while promoting positive behavior and appropriate social interactions.
• Engage with clients to promote learning, participation, and skill development.
• Assist with personal care and physical support needs, as appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment, including light cleaning duties such as sanitizing and mopping.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of clinic materials and supplies.
• Follow all safety procedures and take appropriate precautions to protect the health, safety, and well-being of clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar role preferred.
• Experience working with children, particularly children with special needs, is preferred.
• Experience working in an educational, behavioral health, or pediatric setting is preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.
• Passionate, dependable, and committed to supporting children and their development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to build positive relationships with children.
• Reliable, organized, and punctual.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and move throughout the day.
• Ability to lift, assist, and physically support clients when necessary.
• Ability to perform light cleaning duties and maintain a safe clinic environment.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
