Night Shift Electrician

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Night Shift Electrician to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across our facilities during overnight hours. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage circuits.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, blueprints, and test equipment such as ohmmeters and power tools.
• Install, repair, and upgrade electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and control systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately execute electrical tasks.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and system adjustments.
• Conduct renovation projects on existing electrical infrastructure within industrial or commercial settings.
• Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, including proper use of hand tools, power tools, and adherence to high voltage safety procedures.
• Collaborate with construction teams during site upgrades or new installations, including frame carpentry and schematic reading.
• Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for record-keeping purposes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation environments.
• Hands-on experience working on construction sites with familiarity in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
• Strong knowledge of NEC regulations, low voltage systems, high voltage safety procedures, and low voltage wiring practices.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively.
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently on both low voltage and high voltage circuits.
• Construction site experience with an understanding of safety standards related to electrical installations and renovations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
• Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations; additional handyman or schematics reading certifications are a plus. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.50 - $25.37 per hour
