Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Dog Daycare Attendant for a 7:00AM to 1:00 PM shift with flexibility to fill in other shifts as needed. As a Dog Daycare Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision to dogs in our daycare facility. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who loves working with animals and wants to make a positive impact on their well-being. This position requires someone with strong stamina that can stand for long hours and bend over and lift mop buckets and dogs.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor dogs in the daycare facility to ensure their safety and well-being
- Engage in playtime activities with the dogs, including interactive games and exercise
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and common areas
- Provide basic grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by pet owners or veterinarians
- Assist with feeding and providing fresh water to dogs
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or ensure the safety of all dogs
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior, activities, and any concerns that may arise
Experience:
- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting is preferred but willing to train a dog lover.
- Knowledge of dog behavior, handling techniques, and basic care practices
- Experience in pet grooming, veterinary assistance, pet sitting, or dog training is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with patience and confidence
- Basic understanding of animal restraint techniques for the safety of both the dogs and staff
