Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Support inventory accounting, including cycle count reconciliation and valuation
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances
- Assist with standard cost updates and cost roll-ups
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
- Assist with fixed asset tracking and capitalization
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Partner with plant operations to ensure accurate financial reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 1–4 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)
- Understanding of inventory and cost accounting principles
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems (Infor, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor, or similar) preferred
