ROLE OVERVIEW
The Project Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing bathroom remodeling projects from start to finish. This position ensures that materials, subcontractors, inspections, and client communications are managed seamlessly, delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager acts as the central hub between field crews, office staff, and homeowners, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage bathroom remodeling projects from contract signing to final walkthrough, coordinating subcontractors, materials, inspections, and client communication to keep projects on schedule and within budget (often working across multiple projects at various stages of completion).
- Develop and maintain project timelines, schedule subcontractors and inspections, and ensure materials are ordered and delivered within 48–72 hours of contract signing to reduce delays.
- Provide timely updates to homeowners, office staff, and leadership, ensuring transparency and enabling informed decision-making throughout the renovation process.
- Oversee procurement of materials, review purchase orders, and manage inventory to support seamless project execution.
- Conduct site visits and final walkthroughs using a 35-point checklist to verify quality standards, assign punch list items, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Train and onboard new staff by teaching company procedures, ordering workflows, and BuilderTrend systems to build team capability and consistency.
- Resolve conflicts or issues stemming from clients, subcontractors, or scheduling challenges to facilitate progress and maintain positive relationships across all stakeholders.
- Contribute project management expertise during the proposal and planning process to strengthen bids, win new business, and reinforce the company’s reputation for excellence.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
- A strong understanding of construction sequencing (e.g., framing before sheetrock, proper order of tasks) to ensure accurate scheduling and keep projects on track.
- NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association) standards for bathroom design and remodeling, as well as general building codes and inspection requirements to guarantee compliance and ensure quality standards are met.
- Buildertrend project management software, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) to support transparent communication, accurate documentation and transparency and continuity across teams.
- Ability to calculate square footage to enable precise material estimates, control costs and avoid delays.
- Ability to multitask across 4-5 active projects (and multiple queued projects) simultaneously, maintaining an understanding of each project to anticipate needs and solve problems proactively, and provide accurate status across each project.
- Ability to build rapport and credibility with the field crews
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once trained.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years project management experience in construction or similar field
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Full-time, in-office role (Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM).
- Primarily office-based (~90-95% sitting), occasional field visits (~5-10%).
- May occasionally lift 30 pounds when handling materials.
- No weekends, evenings, or remote work.
