PART-TIME PREP COOK / LINE COOK
Position Summary
The Bagel Mill is seeking a reliable, motivated Prep Cook/Line Cook who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is ideal for someone who works efficiently, maintains high standards of cleanliness and organization, and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality food. Prior kitchen experience is required, along with the ability to quickly learn and execute our menu.
This is a part-time position with consistent weekly shifts.
Schedule
- Saturday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Thursday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food items including slicing vegetables (mandolin), using a deli slicer for meats and cheeses, and making cream cheeses and deli salads
- Assemble bagel sandwiches, egg dishes, and other menu items with accuracy and consistency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation
- Complete prep tasks during downtime to support service flow
- Perform opening and closing duties, including dishwashing
- Work efficiently with strong attention to detail in a high-volume environment
- Collaborate effectively with team members
- Follow all food safety and operational procedures
- Assist with additional tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant or bakery setting
- Current Food Handler’s Card required
- Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Availability to work weekends
Compensation & Benefits

- Tips average an additional $6–$9 per hour
