Job Summary
The Inventory Clerk – MRO is responsible for maintaining accurate maintenance and operations inventory to support production uptime. This role ensures critical spare parts are available, inventory data is reliable, and warehouse operations run efficiently to prevent downtime, emergency purchases, and audit issues.
This position works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams.
Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Core Responsibilities
- Perform daily and weekly cycle counts (critical spares, zero-on-hand, min/max items)
- Receive, verify, and properly stock all incoming material
- Issue parts to Maintenance and Production
- Maintain accurate inventory records in eMaint and JDE
- Label, bin, and organize stock locations following MRO standards
- Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies
- Support HMOS (Hardie Manufacturing Operating System) / Reliability Initiatives
- Manage vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs
- Track obsolete, slow-moving, and critical spares
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse
- Support physical inventories, audits, and capital projects
- Follow all safety and forklift procedures
- All other duties that may be assigned to you by management
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experience
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, eMaint, JDE, SAP or Comparable CMMS Programs)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment
- Forklift experience or ability to get certified
- Highly motivated and self-directed
Preferred Experience
- MRO or maintenance inventory experience
- Cycle count program experience
- Knowledge of critical spares and min/max systems
- Experience working with Maintenance teams
- Prior experience with eMaint and JDE and Comparable CMMS Programs
