Overview:
The Axel Group is seeking a Billing Associate for our client's team. This position is with a company in the construction industry that values attention to detail and excellent customer service. The role involves supporting the accounting department with invoicing and accounts receivable tasks, contributing to smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all customer invoicing, including monthly contracts, time & materials, and AIA billing.
- Post all customer payments into the accounting system and apply them to the appropriate invoices.
- Perform collection activities related to overdue customer accounts through phone calls, emails, etc.
- Track and request retainage releases at appropriate times for applicable accounts.
- Execute other administrative and accounting duties as assigned by the Accounts Receivable Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience invoicing customers, including AIA billing.
- Excellent customer service skills with professional email and telephone etiquette.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Preferably an associates degree or higher in Accounting, but not required.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Compensation:
Salary range up to $85,000.00 annually.
Additional Details:
This is a full-time position within the construction industry.
