The Legal Associate will support attorneys in managing complex civil litigation and related matters in a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, analyzing case law and statutes, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents, and assisting with trial preparation. The role involves reviewing and summarizing records, communicating with clients and internal teams, coordinating with courts and opposing counsel, and helping manage case files and deadlines. The Legal Associate will collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys to advance case strategy and ensure high-quality client service.


Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in Law with knowledge of civil litigation and related legal frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills for legal research, case evaluation, and application of statutes and case law.
  • Effective Communication skills for clear written work product and professional interaction with clients, courts, and colleagues.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and address Legal Issues in complex matters across multiple practice areas.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active or pending admission to the Florida Bar.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to handle multiple matters and deadlines.
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced law firm environment with a commitment to client-focused service.
  • 5-10 Year Medical Malpractice Experience
