What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at The Asylum Project?
The Asylum Project was created in response to a growing crisis for too many in the U.S., safety is no longer guaranteed. As systemic rollbacks target LGBTQ rights, racial justice, reproductive autonomy, and disability protections, we stand in defiance of the idea that survival should be a matter of luck or privilege.
We are a grassroots, volunteer-led nonprofit working to support those most at risk—especially queer, trans, BIPOC, and disabled individuals—by building pathways to safer futures abroad. Whether someone needs guidance, strategy, or simply to know they aren’t alone, we’re here to walk beside them.
We’re in the early stages of development, but our resolve is firm. We believe in community over cruelty, solidarity over silence, and building exits when systems become cages. The world is watching. We’re acting.
