Role Description
This is a remote, contract-based role for a Business Development & Contracts Manager responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing contract opportunities while driving sales of app licenses for live classes and self-paced courses. The role involves building and managing a sales and contracts pipeline, leading outreach to schools, organizations, agencies, and corporate partners, and supporting contract negotiations and licensing agreements.
The successful candidate will manage opportunities from lead generation through deal closure, track activity using a CRM system, and collaborate with internal team members to align offerings with client and contract needs. This role is performance-driven and focused on revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
Compensation
This is a contract position compensated at $40 per hour to start, plus a 5% commission on closed deals and secured contracts. Commission is paid upon successful execution of a contract or license agreement.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, contracts, or sales
• Proven experience securing contracts or closing B2B or B2G deals
• Experience selling software, app licenses, SaaS products, or digital platforms
• Strong knowledge of CRM systems with the ability to implement and manage pipelines
• Experience working with schools, organizations, agencies, or institutions preferred
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working independently in a remote, contract-based role
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience selling educational technology or subscription-based products
• Familiarity with RFPs, RFQs, licensing models, and procurement processes
• Understanding of live instruction, self-paced learning, or education technology environments
