Summary
The Ash Group is hiring a Sourcing Specialist for our client, a major electricity and natural gas utility provider. This is a 12-month contract working in Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid) offering a pay rate of $43.00 per hour based on skillset.
Role Details
- Compensation: $43.00 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Review and validate sourcing requests from stakeholders
- You will support large capital and onsite services projects for the nuclear fleet, managing end-to-end strategic sourcing activities including intake review, contract development, sourcing events, negotiations, execution, and post-award contract management.
- Ensure required information and compliance elements are in place
- Conduct vendor risk assessments
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms
- Run sourcing events (RFPs/bids) when required
- Execute purchase orders and assist with invoice issue resolution
- Manage supplier performance and recovery plans
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of strategic sourcing or purchasing experience is a must
- Contract negotiation and supplier management is required
- Must have Microsoft Word (advanced formatting), Excel, and PowerPoint experience
- Experience with large projects and complex scopes is a must
- Strong communication, negotiation and attention to detail skills are a must
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent is preferred
