The Ash Group is hiring a Portable Metrology Manufacturing Engineer for our client, a global leader providing advanced systems and support in defense, aerospace, and security. This is a 12-month contract working in York, PA (Onsite) offering a pay rate of $44 per hour based on skillset.
Role Details
- Compensation: $44/hr

What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct inspection and dimensional report generation utilizing laser trackers, Faro arms, and high volume scanners.
- Generating detailed inspection reports for Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality.
- Conducting laser inspections of new design installations for integration into manufacturing.
- Performing inspection tasks for new designs and design changes.
- Interfacing with Design Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Manufacturing to address product issues.
- Creating and delivering quality inspection plans and reports that provide data to Manufacturing and customers.
What We’re Looking For
- Must have a 4-year technical degree or relevant experience.
- Must be able to work second shift (2pm - 11pm)
- Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing experience is a must.
- Experience using PolyWorks software is required.
- Experience using the following measurement/inspection equipment is required: Portable CMM, Laser Tracker and High Volume Scanner (ex. Surphaser)
