Unarmed/Armed Security Officer

The Arux Group is seeking Armed Security Specialists to join our team in the Portland Metro area. Based upon client needs there are opportunities to work throughout the state of Washington and Oregon. Military Service preferred and pay rate reflects that.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid Armed security license in either WA or OR state. IF YOUR SECURITY LICENSE IS NOT LISTED OR MENTIONED ON YOUR APPLICATION, YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED OR CONTACTED.
• Previous experience in military, law enforcement or a related security position is preferred.
• Medical and first aid training is preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong knowledge of security procedures and protocols
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and complete assignments accurately and timely
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of the designated area to ensure a secure environment.
• Monitor and control access to the premises, checking identification and ensuring only authorized personnel enter.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, taking appropriate action to resolve the situation.
• Safely and responsibly carry, maintain, and use firearms as necessary to protect against threats as an Armed Security Specialist.
• Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and other security equipment to detect and respond to suspicious activities.
• Document security incidents, accidents, and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Enforce security protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Administer first aid and CPR if required and trained to do so.
• If necessary, provide testimony in court regarding security incidents.
• Work closely with law enforcement and emergency services when needed.

Job Types: Temporary, full-time, On-Call

Pay: $25/hour Unarmed, $30/hour Armed

License/Certification: Valid State Driver's License (REQUIRED), Armed or Unarmed Security License in OR or WA State (REQUIRED).

Note: This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
