Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to area post offices two or three a week, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, with opportunities to work with different types of vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver products to customers and clients.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques.
- Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring deliveries are made accurately and professionally.
- Assist in the loading and unloading process, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Navigate through various routes, adjusting plans as needed for traffic or other delays.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Driver's health card required from your health provided. Commercial driver's license is NOT required.
- Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with route driving involving heavy loads.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with forklift and pallet jack operation is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes.
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission is desirable.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic regulations.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and navigate multiple delivery routes efficiently.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12.0 per week
