General Manager – Pet Resort

The Ark Pet Spa & Hotel, part of the Kindred Pet Services family, is looking for an experienced and people-focused General Manager to lead our Huntsville and Madison locations.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys building strong teams, creating a positive guest experience, and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. The General Manager will oversee both locations, support team development, partner with regional leadership, and help ensure our resorts continue to provide safe, reliable, high-quality care for pets and their families.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support the teams at our Huntsville and Madison resorts.
• Coach, develop, and motivate managers and team members.
• Oversee daily resort operations and help ensure a safe, clean, welcoming environment.
• Partner with Recruiting and HR on hiring, onboarding, training, and employee support.
• Support scheduling and staffing to meet business and guest needs.
• Monitor key business metrics and help identify opportunities for continued growth and improvement.
• Maintain high standards for guest care, client service, safety, and facility appearance.
• Help resolve client concerns and support strong customer relationships.
• Work closely with regional leadership and Kindred support teams on company initiatives and operational priorities.
• Support local marketing, community involvement, and business growth efforts.
• Step into day-to-day operations when needed to support the team.

What We’re Looking For

• 3 years of leadership experience in operations, hospitality, animal care, retail, or another service-focused environment.
• Experience managing and developing teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance team leadership with day-to-day operational responsibilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
• A positive, collaborative leadership style.
• Passion for providing an exceptional experience for both pets and people.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying hours based on business needs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
