Responsibilities
- Assist in multiple classrooms, supporting lead teachers and caregivers to deliver engaging activities tailored to different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs
- Provide attentive childcare, ensuring safety, comfort, and emotional well-being for all children under your care
- Support classroom management by helping implement lesson plans, behavior management strategies, and developmental activities aligned with early childhood education standards
- Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play to promote healthy growth and development
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
- Participate in ongoing training sessions on topics like first aid, special education techniques, and childhood development best practices
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and classroom management
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or nannying roles; familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are advantageous
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs while maintaining a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with children effectively
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and nurturing qualities essential for caregiving roles
- Knowledge of toddler care, infant care techniques, and preschool activities to support diverse age groups
