What are the responsibilities and job description for the AFTER SCHOOL GROUP LEADER position at THE ARENA CLUB?
Provide quality care for school-aged children in a clean, safe environment, after school. Additional hours are also available for day camps that are held when Harford County Schools are closed.
Status: Part-Time
Required Hours: Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Qualifications:
Must be group leader certified. Requirements for group leader certification are as follows:
- Be at least 19 years or older.
- Hold a high school diploma.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Meet one of the following:
a) 6 semester hours of 90 clock hours or their equivalent of approved pre-service training
b) 9 clock hours of approved pre-service training in communicating with staff, parents, and the public, or at least one academic college course for credit.
c) 3 clock hours of training in ADA compliance
Meet one of the following:
a) 400 hours of experience working under supervision primarily with school-age children in a licensed childcare center, public or private school, or 400 hours of experience caring for school-age children as a registered family day care provider.
b) 1 year of college
c) Combination of experience and college that together are equivalent to 1 year.
Must be energetic, creative and exhibit a commitment to customer service and caring for children.
Must be responsible and flexible.
CPR/First Aid certifications required.
