What You’ll Do
- Lead Dining Experience: Develop, manage, and coordinate the front-of-the-house dining experience for residents.
- Team Management: Supervise the waitstaff, executing supervisory duties in alignment with organizational policies and legal guidelines.
- Build the Best Team: Actively participate in the hiring process, including conducting interviews, making hiring decisions, providing training, and offering ongoing coaching and support to team members.
- Monday–Friday (Full-Time), with required availability on weekends and holidays as needed.
- Typical shift is 5:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., with flexibility to start earlier or stay later based on operational needs.
- Occasional evening shifts may be required.
Compensation
Annual Salary Range: $67,000 - $85,904Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor service standards to ensure a high-quality dining experience in the Dining Room, Health Care Center, Employee Lounge, and during Private Functions.
- Manage and coordinate waitstaff schedules, Health Care Center dining, Employee Meals setup, and Private Functions.
- You’re empowered to build a dynamic team by partnering with the Executive Chef, Director of Dining Services, and HR for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff.
- Foster the growth and development of your team through ongoing training in customer service, serving etiquette, working with seniors, and mastering the point-of-sale system.
- Drive success through performance management for all employees
- Collaborate with the Resident Food/Dining Committee to address resident concerns and requests regarding food quality and service.
- Offer continuous feedback to Executive Chef, Director of Dining Services, Sous Chef, and Dietitian based on resident input on food preparation, presentation, taste, and variety.
- Works closely with the Resident Food/Dining Committee to handle and respond to resident concerns and requests regarding food quality, service and related matters.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Network and establish relationships with counterparts in the Food and Beverage Industry, staying updated on the latest trends.
- Operate and oversee the point of sale software, train staff on its use, and assist the IT department in resolving any related issues.
- Maintain Monday to Friday day shift hours; coverage for weekend on a rotation basis.
