The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders and employees, providing comprehensive HR support across employee relations, talent management, performance management, workforce planning, compliance, and organizational development. The HRBP works closely with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional with strong knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment and labor laws, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively resolve complex workplace issues. This role requires a collaborative, results-driven professional who can balance strategic priorities with day-to-day HR needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers and leadership to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns.
  • Interpret and administer company policies and procedures consistently and fairly.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment and labor laws and regulations.
  • Support employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, and performance improvement plans.
  • Advise managers on performance management practices, employee development, and effective leadership approaches.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning initiatives in partnership with Talent Acquisition and business leaders.
  • Identify employee and organizational trends and recommend solutions that improve engagement, retention, productivity, and overall employee experience.
  • Assist with compensation, benefits, leave administration, and other HR programs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Utilize HRIS and HR technology systems to maintain employee information, generate reports, and support HR processes.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Assist with organizational development, succession planning, talent reviews, and employee development initiatives.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture based on teamwork, accountability, inclusion, and respect.
  • Stay current on changes to employment laws, HR best practices, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
  • Perform other HR-related duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive and relevant Human Resources experience, preferably in an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of general Human Resources policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Good knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment and labor laws.
  • Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills with a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • A results-driven approach with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality HR support and solutions.


Preferred:

  • Professional HR certification such asSHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Experience supporting multiple departments, business units, or locations.
  • Experience with HR analytics, workforce reporting, and HR metrics.
  • Experience managing or supporting organizational change initiatives.
  • Experience with HRIS implementation, optimization, or process improvement.
  • Experience with HRIS systems is preferred; experience with systems such as Kronos or UKG Prois a plus.
