Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm, with flexibility to meet program needs
A Day in the Life of a Behavioral Services Manager:
As a full-time Behavioral Services Manager you will oversee behavioral support services to individuals supported.
Responsible for employment, orientation, scheduling, training and supervision of Behavioral Intervention Specialist(s).
Performs initial, semiannual and annual functional behavioral assessments of individuals. Provides written recommendations to corresponding program staff.
Develops, reviews, and revises written behavior support plans. Helps to ensure the integration, consistency, and appropriateness of plans. Trains staff on how to implement the plans.
Develops, reviews, and revises written behavior medication monitoring plans. Helps to ensure the integration, consistency, and appropriateness of plans. Trains staff on how to implement the plans.
Provides ongoing training to Direct Support Professionals in conjunction with program managers in supporting challenging behavior and assists with developing therapeutic crisis intervention strategies.
Provides onsite support to teams outside of non-traditional hours on and as needed basis, including periodic site visits and coaching opportunities with Direct Support Professionals.
Who We Are Looking For:
Master's Degree from a program in a clinical and/or treatment field of psychology, social work, or school psychology or a NYS license in Mental Health Counseling. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Training in assessment techniques and behavioral program development.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
One year supervisory experience.
Must possess a current, valid New York State driver's license that meets the Agency driver standards
