DSP - Weekends

Direct Support Professional – CONGERS, NY

Days: Saturday and Sunday

Shifts: 7:00am to 3:00pm and 3:00am to 11:00pm

• Up to $1000 in sign-on bonuses available- Earn $500 after 6 months of full-time employment and an additional $500 after 9 months of full-time employment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for implementing programs as well as providing care to individuals with disabilities. Additionally, is responsible for maintaining the physical environment of the home, administering medications and transporting individuals to medical appointments and day programs as well as participating in recreation and/or social activities with individuals served.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED/TASC preferred. In lieu of education, three years’ related experience may be accepted.

• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAs): Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English. Good oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize assignments and delegate responsibility. Must attend and pass First Aid Certification Course.

• Driver’s License with at least two years of driving experience which meets agency requirements
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
