What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at The Arc Oneida-Lewis?
The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Services Department. As our agency RN you will ensure the supervision and provision of nursing services to the people we support at the program sites. Responsible for the implementation of medical policies and procedures with assigned site in accordance with the Arc and OPWDD regulations.
Schedule/Hours
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM. No evenings, weekends, or holidays!!
Responsibilities:
- Monitor medication safety, storage and administrations via AMAP personnel
- Provide management of accidents and illnesses; making necessary referrals or recommendations to appropriate staff or others
- Complete and maintain all required documentation, both in electronic and paper format
- Provide professional and clinical nursing oversight of the LPNs and AMAP staff assigned to sites under your supervision. Provide directives on medical oversight to any Direct Support Professional
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate active knowledge of people's nursing needs, nutrition, medications, communicable disease and infection control
- Demonstrate sound nursing assessment and judgment skills
- NYS Drivers' License & RN Nursing License
