- Full-Time Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM, which includes weekend hours.
Work Setting: Residential group homes located throughout Washington County, MD

Position Overview
As a Life Skills Mentor, you will support youth ages 16–20 in a group home setting as they build independence and life skills. This role requires patience, consistency, and the ability to remain calm and composed during challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities
- Support daily living skills, including hygiene, cleaning, and overnight routines
- Provide structure, supervision, and behavioral support
- Respond appropriately to verbal and physical behaviors using approved techniques
- Administer medications in accordance with training and policy
- Ensure safety and maintain a calm, supportive environment during overnight hours
- Build positive relationships that promote trust, confidence, and independence
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license held for at least 2 years (permit time excluded)
- Mental health and behavioral management experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with youth who may exhibit verbal or physical aggression is a plus
- Ability to set healthy boundaries and remain calm under pressure
- Physically able to lift and transfer up to 50 lbs
- Willing to complete 3 weeks and 2 days of paid new hire training (Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM)
