Residential Direct Support Professional - Part Time (Evenings and Weekends)

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with disabilities by providing safe, supportive, and meaningful daily experiences throughout Ocean County. Flexible scheduling options are available, along with opportunities for overtime.

We are currently hiring for weekend availability across multiple residential locations, including Brick, Barnegat, Toms River, Lakewood, Jackson, Lacey, and Beachwood.

Schedule: Shifts available include 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM (day/evening), and 11:00 PM–9:00 AM (awake overnight). Weekend availability is required.

Pay: $20.20–$24.20 per hour, with eligibility for shift differentials, bi-weekly pay, and overtime opportunities.

Description

The Arc Ocean County Chapter is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work in residential settings, including group homes, supervised apartments, and supported living programs throughout Ocean County, supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

In this role, responsibilities include providing in-home support and hands-on care such as assistance with personal hygiene, medication administration, daily living tasks, and meal preparation. Additional duties include completing accurate electronic documentation and supporting a variety of individualized needs to promote safety, independence, and quality of life.

Previous experience welcomed, not required!

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing, with no more than 5 points
• Demonstrated stability in prior employment (minimum of one year with a previous employer)
• High school diploma or GED required
