Dynamic Duo Support LLC is looking for a compassionate Part‑Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a 31‑year‑old man with an intellectual disability in Toms River, NJ. This role includes assisting him at home as well as supporting him during community outings. The ideal candidate enjoys promoting independence, encouraging community involvement, and fostering personal development.
Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 3:30 PM–6:30 PM, Sunday 10 AM–4 PM (15 hours/week)
Location: Toms River, NJ
Pay Rate: $18–$22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and companionship
- Transport and accompany the client to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands
- Assist with household tasks, including tidying, organizing, and daily routines
- Support with shopping, cooking, and meal preparation
- Encourage participation in community activities and foster social connections
- Promote independence and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Create a positive, respectful, and supportive environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in direct support roles (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Adult First Aid/CPR certification
